During 2016 the Karayuna Learning Centre teamed up with Pathfinders – Tilbuster Station Program. Partnerships with other organisations are imperative to the ongoing success of young students at the Karayuna Learning Centre. This wonderful program provided students with additional skills and resources that they may not otherwise achieved during their schooling. It further provided them with work skills that they will need upon leaving school and entering the world of work.
The partnership at Tilbuster Station aimed to teach students the importance of agriculture and farming, it provided them with work skills, as well as essential life skills to develop their sense of independence and self-esteem.
This was a collaboration that occurred throughout 2016 every week. Unfortunately due to changes in Pathfinders staff the program could not continue.
